Fast-Track Paper Publication Option

Electronic Journal of General Medicine takes every measure to minimize the time lapse between submission and publication. However, in some cases relatively long waiting periods are unavoidable. Electronic Journal of General Medicine understands that authors sometimes have to meet certain publication deadlines. Hence, the editorial office decided to announce a fast-track paper publication option to authors. Only limited number of fast-track paper publication requests will be honoured in each issue. Fast-track paper publication option should be requested no more than 24 hours after the submission of the paper via editorial system or by sending an email to editor@ejgm.co.uk.

Fast-track paper publication option guarantees that a first round editorial decision will be ready in 21 days. If the paper is accepted, the galley proofs will be prepared within 48 hours and the paper will be published immediately after the galley proof is confirmed by the author(s). Note that fast-track paper publication option does not affect the quality of peer review process and final decision to accept or reject the paper for publication.

In order to take advantage of fast-track paper publication option, the author(s) must pay a non-refundable fee of 500 GBP (plus VAT, if applicable) due within 24 hours after the submission of the paper. Fee will be refunded only if fast-track paper publication request cannot be honoured. Wire transfer (for US$/Euro/GBP£ payments) is the preferred method of payment to the following bank account.
